More Map Completion!
Hi,
I did a lot more map completion this week. Most of it on Silvybrit, getting more Karma for Exotic gear. But I did more on Blondybrit too. The way I've been doing it is to focus on the lowest level zones first, and working my way up. But then doing more if the daily sends me to a zone. I've been doing the daily stuff mostly on Silvybrit. Here's a look at what Blondybrit's looks like:
Other than that, I've been leveling Roverbrit a bit, and got her to level 48. She has been doing a lot of Dredgenaught Cliffs. So, a lot more Seasoned Wood and Iron Ore to keep the gold flowing in. Something happened though that almost stopped me in my tracks, and question whether I should continue playing. Here goes.
For the level 40 Personal Story, I decided to try the Durmond Priory line with Roverbrit. I don't think I've chosen that path before. Well, it was going fine until I hit the 'Bad Blood' part of story. This sends you to a bottomless cave, where you have to jump across some walls, and if you get stop, you get knocked off. I tried and tried and tried, and just could not make my way across. I quit the game in frustration, and only logged in again to do the daily (this was yesterday).
However, as with everything GW2, you can usually google it, and find out how to get something done. After googling Bad Blood, I realized how to do it, and it was smooth sailing after that.
As you can see, my gold is up to 104, but I haven't bought any more Gems yet. Well, before I had 90, I saw the price as low as 94g. But it hasn't been below 100g since I got to 100. I'm waiting for it to be about 95g before buying.

My 3rd Level 80!
Hi,
Yay! Silvybrit made it to 80 over the weekend. She's my 3rd level 80. She did a lot of leveling this week, finishing up Mount Maelstrom, and dabbling in Frostgorge Sound and Straits of Devastation to hit 80. She also did the level 70 personal story, and started on the level 80 personal story.
Once she was 80, I also started to gear her up by doing some World Bosses, and then she made her way to Cursed Shore, to grab two pieces of Exotic Beserker gear. She needs way more Karma, so I'll probably continue doing the daily on her, and do more World Bosses on her. She did get an 12 slot bag from something (I can't remember if it was Personal Story or zone completion or leveling up).
Other than that, I didn't really do any gold making this week, making about 46g just from dailies and selling materials on the TP. Bloodybrit did a little more Map completion, and I leveled up Roverbrit to 38 (with the help of some Tomes of Knowledge :)).
All Crafting is on hold until I get them all to 80. Then I'll work on it. The next to 80 will be Roverbrit. Then I'll have two Rifle Warriors and two Longbow Rangers at 80. Then will come the others.
My Birthday is in a few weeks, and I know I'm getting 2 2000gem cards, so I'll be able to buy the 3 shared slots for the Unbreakable Tools, and still have tons left over for other stuff. I don't know what I'm planning to get yet.

Unbreakable Tools - Acquired!
Hi,
I made a lot of gold this week. It came from doing Dredgenaught Cliffs, and selling all my Mystic Coins. I got 800 more gems fairly early in the week, and then bought the unbreakable tools!.
OMG what a difference they make. I don't have to worry going around from zone to zone whether the tools I have match the zone or not. I don't need to have bag space or bank space for all the tools etc. It's really wonderful. Yes, I don't have the shared slots for them yet, but managing them is fairly simple. When I finish playing one character, I just go to a bank, and deposit the tools. Then the next character starts off at a bank, and picks them up before heading out:
Of course, my next purchase will be an extra 3 shared slots, so the banking and de-banking won't be necessary.
With this extra freedom, I got a lot done this week. I did more Map Completion on Blondybrit, completing a couple more zones. I also leveling Silvybrit and Roverbrit. Silvybrit completed Sparkfly Fen, and is now doing Mount Maelstrom. Roverbrit completed Brisbane Wildlands and I haven't picked a new zone for her yet. She also got a couple of levels through Tomes of Knowledge.
I've been doing the daily mostly on Blondybrit, and she got enough Karma to get another Exotic piece for 42K. I also did the lower level daily stuff on Silvybrit and Roverbrit, getting them more experience and Karma.
That's about it. I'm really excited about my Unbreakable Gathering Tools!

Back to Leveling!
Hi,
It was mostly leveling this week. I got Charrlybrit to 50, and then did the personal story to get to 51. I leveled Roverbrit to level 22. Then I decided that my next level 80 was going to be my 2nd Warrior. So, I leveled up Silvybrit.
A great way to level these days is to do the daily on the character you're leveling. That is, as long as the daily quest isn't in a level 80 zone. So, I did the daily on Silvy for a few days. She got lots of experience, and got even more through Writs of Experience from the daily quest chests. Also, on one day, I got two Tomes of Knowledge just for logging in, and she got two levels from that. She's now level 60 and in the middle of the level 60 personal story:
A few other things this week. I did do the Dredgenaught Cliffs run a few times this week, but nothing like last week. Most of the gold this week was through selling Mystic Coins. I don't really have a use for them, so I sold 20 of them for close to 20g.
I also crafted lots of 8 slot bags on Blondybrit. I never realized that crafts other than Tailor could make bags (too stuck in my WoW frame of mind :)). So, I used a lot of copper ore to make lots of Darksteel 8-slot chests.
Also, I did do some more map completion on Blondy this week. She finished up Hirathi Highlands, and is now at 78%.

My New Gold Making Method!
Hi,
Yep. This week, it was all about making gold. I didn't spend much time leveling at all. Just doing the daily, and using a gold making method that I discovered.
So, here it is.
Basically, it's farming Iron Ore and Seasoned Wood in Dredgenaught Cliffs. You need Steel Logging Axe and Mining Pick for this area. Here's a map of the area:
Basically, I go down the right side of the map (left as you view the image above). I will veer off the path for Wood or Ore, but basically stick to that. Then head through Rats Run to the the bottom part, and then back up the left (right as you view the image) side. Doing this, I usually get about 60-70 Seasoned Wood, and 25-35 Iron Ore. You get some gold ore too. Each run takes about 20 minutes.
I sell the Seasoned Wood for 3s15c.
I sell the Iron Ore for 2s70c.
I sell the Gold Ore for 70c.
Although today, I actually went for 3s20c and 2s75c for the wood and Iron ore and it still sold :)
So, this nets about 3g per run. You can do this on multiple characters. And you can do it a few times per day (I think). Anyway, I didn't do hundreds of runs, but about 20, netting me about 60g for the week. BTW: If you know of a much better way to make gold, please let me know.
I also did the daily for 2g per day, and the odd World Boss, but the Wood and Ore was the main part of my gold making. I made it up to 95g, and bought some more gems for about 94g and some silver. The Gem price really fluctuates. I saw it as high as 106g this week for 400, down to about 94g. I'm saving the Gems for the Unbreakable Tools for 2400.

My New Ranger!

Well, I did start another Ranger in my 8th Character slot. Meet Roverbrit:
She only made it to level 11 this week. I didn't use any of the birthday boosts on her. I have lots of level 40, 30 and 20 boosts, but I don't plan on using any of them. I'd rather level. She's still in Caledon Forest, and I'm having a blast with her.
Two more made it to 50 and did the level 50 Personal Story and made it to 51. They were Necrobrit and Mesmerbrit. It was fun playing my Mesmer again. All those Illusions :) Once I play my Engineer again, I can decide which is my least favorite Profession. At the moment, it's Elementalist, but it could be Engineer. My Favorites are definitely Rifle Warrior and Longbow Ranger right now.
They both did Bloodtide Coast and Dredgenaunt Cliffs, and got lots of Iron Ore and Seasoned Wood. I now have over 500 Seasoned Wood, so I'm selling all the extra on the TP. It goes for about 3s each, which is great. My policy is to collect all materials, but if I get to 500, I sell all the extras. At the moment, I have 3 that are 500 - Iron Ore, Seasoned Wood, and Elder Wood.
Talking of gold, Rangerbrit continued to do the Daily each day, and she also did some World Bosses too. Gold is now up to over 30g again.
I haven't been playing as much as I thought I would. I have a project going on at home, to prepare for the eventual move in a few months, and my gaming has been split with Hearthstone, Civ 6, and GW2.
