My 4th level 80!!

Hi,

Yay, I got Roverbrit to 80 this week. This makes it 2 Warriors and 2 Rangers to level 80. She got to 80 doing Frostgorge Sound, and made sure to finish it off completely for the bonus. After she got to 80, she got to Straits of Devestation and made sure to get to Malchor's Leap and Cursed Shore to open up the Karma vendor for Beserker gear. She got 2 pieces, as I'd amassed over 84K in Karma. I did splash out 75 Laurels for an Amulet and Ring for her. I think I'll do that for each character I get to 80.

Now that I realized that Karma is account bound, I started doing the daily on Silvybrit or Blondybrit, it didn't really matter. I'm enjoying trying out the jumping puzzles or dungeons, instead of the 4 events in a specific zones. I know I'd probably get more Karma from the events, but it takes so much longer. Thank you to all of you Commanders who provide portals for the jumping puzzle, and all the groups for dungeons. Here's Silvybrit completing Honor of the Waves, just this morning to complete the daily.

In other news, I decided on my next 80, it will be Mesmerbrit, my Mesmer. She did a lot of Bloodtide Coast, made it to Sparkfly Fen, and completed her level 60 Personal Story. She got to level 62 this week.

Also, I decided to level Blondybrit's Weaponsmithing a bit. I got her to 350. I might try and get to 400 this week.

Gold came in great this week. All the leveling through the platinum zones brought in lots of gold. I got enough to buy more gems. I waited until it was about 105g for 400 gems and then bought some. Gold is now back up above 41g again.

Vacation and Sickness!!

As I said last week, we had my Sister and Brother in Law here. We were showing them around the south of Florida for the week, so I didn't get much time to play. I did get to do the daily most days, but then I became very sick, and didn't even get to do the daily for a couple of days. It was just a cold, and I'm nearly over it now, but it really threw me for a loop for a couple of days.

The dailies have been mostly OK, but I really don't like the jumping puzzles,  and so have to do the 4 events in a zone or suffer through one. The mini dungeons and activities are fine. So I do the vista one, gathering one, and then choose whichever third one seems the easiest. As you can see, the gold has gone up a bit over the last couple of weeks.

I also leveled Roverbrit a bit, and got her to 69. The really annoying thing was that she still had a level 44 Longbow. None of the heart vendors seemed to have an upgrade at all. So, I got on Rangerbrit, and made a level 55 Longbow. This brought her Huntsman up to 232. I guess I'll have to really really level it up to make a higher level one if she can't get one from anywhere soon. I guess I could get one off the TP, but I'm just so averse at spending any gold at all.

I'm thinking that I will start spending some gold getting bigger bags. I know you need to buy one component of a bag to craft it, and it costs a lot for big bags. But it seems like a good use for gold, as I don't really need any more gems now.

I'm up to about 55k in Karma right now (I didn't realize it was account wide until recently), so Silvybrit can get another Beserker piece of armor.

A Brief Interlude!!

With family visiting, I don't really have time for a full blog update.

I made some progress on getting my latest towards 80 (level 68 I think). I also got gold up to about 85g but I haven't played a lot because of company here.

I'm Back...again!!

It's good to be back.

I gave up WoW last week, and decided to come back to Guild Wars 2. I didn't have any trouble picking up the slack, and got back into doing Dredgenaught Cliffs for Iron Ore and Seasoned Wood, doing some World Bosses, and doing the daily. The log in rewards are excellent these days too.

I had forgotten about salvaging, and was vendoring most of my greens and blues. However, when I remembered, I now salvage everything less than 1s, and vendor those above 1s. Any materials that I have more than 500 of get vendored. Iron Ore and Seasoned Wood have really dropped in value, so I'm not going to do Dredgenaught Cliffs any more. Surprisingly, Onions are selling for nearly 3s each :). I pretty much instantly sell everything, and don't put them up at a higher price.

I've also been leveling Roverbrit this week. I got her to level 60. I haven't dipped into any other characters yet, only playing my Warriors and Rangers right now, that I feel most comfortable with.

Oh, I was doing the Daily and World Bosses on Blondybrit, without thinking about it. Then I remembered that Silvybrit still needs more Karma for gear. So now I'm doing them on her.

So, how did I get so many Gems? I think I got a couple of Gem cards for my Birthday last year, but then I stopped playing. I've bought 4 shared slots, the Unbreakable Pick, Axe and Sickle, and one bank extender (250->500 items stored). So, I really don't know what to spend the Gems on. I think I was planning on buying more Character Slots, but I want to get all these to 80 first. If you have any great ideas, let me know.

More Map Completion!

I did a lot more map completion this week. Most of it on Silvybrit, getting more Karma for Exotic gear. But I did more on Blondybrit too. The way I've been doing it is to focus on the lowest level zones first, and working my way up. But then doing more if the daily sends me to a zone. I've been doing the daily stuff mostly on Silvybrit. Here's a look at what Blondybrit's looks like:

Other than that, I've been leveling Roverbrit a bit, and got her to level 48. She has been doing a lot of Dredgenaught Cliffs. So, a lot more Seasoned Wood and Iron Ore to keep the gold flowing in. Something happened though that almost stopped me in my tracks, and question whether I should continue playing. Here goes.

For the level 40 Personal Story, I decided to try the Durmond Priory line with Roverbrit. I don't think I've chosen that path before. Well, it was going fine until I hit the 'Bad Blood' part of story. This sends you to a bottomless cave, where you have to jump across some walls, and if you get stop, you get knocked off. I tried and tried and tried, and just could not make my way across. I quit the game in frustration, and only logged in again to do the daily (this was yesterday).

However, as with everything GW2, you can usually google it, and find out how to get something done. After googling Bad Blood, I realized how to do it, and it was smooth sailing after that.

As you can see, my gold is up to 104, but I haven't bought any more Gems yet. Well, before I had 90, I saw the price as low as 94g. But it hasn't been below 100g since I got to 100. I'm waiting for it to be about 95g before buying.

My 3rd Level 80!

Yay! Silvybrit made it to 80 over the weekend. She's my 3rd level 80. She did a lot of leveling this week, finishing up Mount Maelstrom, and dabbling in Frostgorge Sound and Straits of Devastation to hit 80. She also did the level 70 personal story, and started on the level 80 personal story.

Once she was 80, I also started to gear her up by doing some World Bosses, and then she made her way to Cursed Shore, to grab two pieces of Exotic Beserker gear. She needs way more Karma, so I'll probably continue doing the daily on her, and do more World Bosses on her. She did get an 12 slot bag from something (I can't remember if it was Personal Story or zone completion or leveling up).

Other than that, I didn't really do any gold making this week, making about 46g just from dailies and selling materials on the TP. Bloodybrit did a little more Map completion, and I leveled up Roverbrit to 38 (with the help of some Tomes of Knowledge :)).

All Crafting is on hold until I get them all to 80. Then I'll work on it. The next to 80 will be Roverbrit. Then I'll have two Rifle Warriors and two Longbow Rangers at 80. Then will come the others.

My Birthday is in a few weeks, and I know I'm getting 2 2000gem cards, so I'll be able to buy the 3 shared slots for the Unbreakable Tools, and still have tons left over for other stuff. I don't know what I'm planning to get yet.
